Which acreage does AI Advisor use when I search by acres?

When you search by acres, AI Advisor uses Acres (calculated) first and falls back to Acres (source) only when a calculated value isn't available.

  • Acres (calculated) - derived from the area inside the parcel's mapped boundaries.
  • Acres (source) - comes from the county assessor's records.

The calculated value is prioritized because it's generally more consistent across counties. If the two values differ for a parcel, your search uses the calculated one.

Want more control?

Ask AI Advisor to filter Acres (calculated) and Acres (source) as separate criteria. For example, with a 2-acre minimum:

  • Stricter - require both values to be 2 acres or more.
  • Broader - require either value to be 2 acres or more, so parcels where only one source meets your threshold are included.
